Description Anderson Lizardo 2009-08-19 20:00:55 EEST
We can create Ubuntu PPA repository for karmic, just like the current jaunty
one.

Started uploading packages to pyside's own ppa. Starting with jaunty them
promoting to karmic.

I've started uploading jaunty and karmic provisional packages (while official
debian ones aren't ready).

The provisional version suffixes ended being (for version 0.2.1 of pyside, as
an example)

0.2.1-0pyside0~ppa1 for jaunty
0.2.1-0pyside0~karmic1~ppa1 for karmic.

The extra suffix is needed as looks like this is a limitation of launchpad when
uploading the same package for more than one distribution version.

"-0pyside0-.." allows the packages to be upgraded when the debian/ubuntu
version gets released. (-0ubuntu > -0pyside)

Any comments?

BTW, those suffixes are almost invisible to the end users.
