Description Ulf Urdén 2009-12-18 10:55:04 EET
(I am aware that this package is unsupported, but I figured I report it anyway)

I installed the unsupported package PySide-qt4.5+0.2.2.zip from the website.
I have QT SDK 4.6 installed, not built by myself but from the supported
installer.

Apparently, the module is installed in
/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/PySide. This does not seem to be in
PYTHONPATH, at least not with the standard python interpreter.

So added the module to PYTHONPATH manually, and got this nasty surprise:

/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages $ PYTHONPATH=. python2.5
Python 2.5.4 (r254:67916, Oct 16 2009, 11:25:53)
[GCC 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5646)] on darwin
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> from PySide import QtGui
Fatal Python error: Interpreter not initialized (version mismatch?)
Abort trap

Is the package is intended to be used with macports version of python? Thanks
for any help.

The packages for PySide 0.2.2 are outdated, future packages for mac will work
with the python version that comes with macosx 10.6, but these packages aren't
ready yet.

Why this bug was assigned to me, I wonder? :)
