Mac ports is the source code installer tool.  It already has Qt on there and
pyQt.  I would like pyside on there to provide an alternative to pyQt and it's
restrictive licensing.

It would be a good way to get more developers.

Thanks for the bug report.

Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to do binary packaging ourselves but
are relying on community contributions for them instead. Therefore, while I
agree with your idea 100%, I'm resolving this bug as WONTFIX. I'll post the
idea on the mailing list, though.
